Maria Novak serves as Counsel in Scarinci Hollenbeck’s New York City office. She is a seasoned litigator with more than 15 years of experience representing clients across all phases of litigation.
Before entering private practice, Maria served as a Court Attorney Referee in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, where she presided over hearings and trials and authored decisions on dispositive motions. She previously served as Court Attorney to the Honorable Raja Rajeswari of the New York City Criminal Court.
Maria also founded and managed her own boutique litigation firm, where she focused on matrimonial and family law, criminal defense, and general litigation. Earlier in her career, she practiced with both a small general practice firm and a mid-sized Manhattan firm specializing in the defense of professional malpractice claims.
Fluent in Russian, Maria is recognized for her strategic judgment, practical problem-solving, and commitment to achieving efficient, results-driven outcomes. She takes pride in delivering high-quality service and fostering strong, collaborative relationships with her clients.
