Scarinci Hollenbeck is pleased to announce that Partner Daniel T. McKillop will serve as a panelist at the New Jersey State Bar Association‘s 8th Annual Cannabis and Psychedelics Law Symposium on June 9, 2026. The program brings together attorneys and industry leaders for a full day examining the legal landscape shaping cannabis and psychedelics in New Jersey and beyond.
Dan will join fellow panelists Brittany A. Bonetti, Esq. and John D. Williams, Esq. for Panel 3, “Hemp, Intoxicating Cannabinoids and THC Beverages: Where New Jersey Draws the Regulatory Line.” The discussion will address how the state is approaching hemp-derived products such as Delta-8 and THC beverages, the legislation and enforcement questions now in play, and where state rules and federal hemp law align and diverge. Drawing on his work counseling cannabis operators and dispensaries across New Jersey, Dan will offer a practitioner’s view of what these regulatory questions mean for businesses on the ground.
A Partner who has chaired the firm’s Cannabis Law practice group since 2016, Dan pairs two decades of environmental law and litigation experience with one of the state’s most established cannabis and psychedelics practices. He serves on the executive committee of the NJSBA Cannabis Law Special Committee, co-chairs and co-founded the NJSBA Psychedelics Law Subcommittee, and sits on the editorial board of the Cannabis Law Journal. The National Law Journal named him a Cannabis Law Trailblazer in 2018, the inaugural year of the honor.
Now in its eighth year, the Cannabis and Psychedelics Law Symposium has become a leading forum for practitioners tracking this fast-moving area of law. Across six panels, the program will cover federal rescheduling and banking, the realities of licensure and municipal zoning, the regulation of hemp-derived intoxicants, the emerging framework for therapeutic psychedelics, and the ongoing work of decriminalization and expungement.
The symposium runs from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick, with an online attendance option, and offers up to 7.9 CLE credits. To learn more and register, visit the NJSBA event page.
