201-896-4100 info@sh-law.comCrystal Prais was sworn in this morning at a private ceremony by former Scarinci Hollenbeck partner the Honorable Christine M. Vanek, a Superior Court Judge in Hudson County. She also passed the New York bar and her swearing in will take place in January 2016.

Ms. Prais devotes her practice to counseling corporate and individual clients in all aspects of Business, Intellectual Property, and Cyber Security Law. She has worked on a number of corporate transactions including the negotiation and drafting of all types of deals and contracts in matters such as entertainment, intellectual property, commercial real estate, and business formation.
Ms. Prais started working at Scarinci Hollenbeck as a summer law clerk in 2014. Immediately before joining Scarinci Hollenbeck, she worked as a legal intern at GAF where she gained practical experience in intellectual property matters. She assisted in the selection of viable product names, the preparation of trademark applications, and participated in internet advertising and privacy policy. Prior to her work at GAF, Ms. Prais worked for New Jersey Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts and the Rutgers Intellectual Property Law Clinic where she gained invaluable experience providing intellectual property and entertainment law advice to non-profits, artists, inventors and start-ups. Ms. Prais began her career at Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals where, among her other roles, she collaborated with counsel to update the company’s corporate policies and procedures, integrity agreement, and code of conduct to create training programs in accordance with healthcare laws.
“It’s not surprising that Crystal passed both bar exams the first time,” said partner Ken Hollenbeck, “she is extremely bright as well as hard-working and we are fortunate to have her as part of our team.”
Ms. Prais earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law in 2015, and her B.A. in Economics from the University of Vermont in 2011. At Rutgers, Ms. Prais was Editor of the Business Law Review, participated in Cardozo Entertainment and Communications Moot Court, and was Vice President of the Intellectual Property Law Society. At the University of Vermont, Ms. Prais was a dean’s list scholar and worked as a student ambassador.
