Rivera has been inducted into the Essex County Democratic Committee (ECDC) Hall of Fame. During a ceremony held last week at Mayfair Farms, Mr. Rivera was honored alongside Donald Shauger, a Roseland resident, Joan Codey Durkin, an Essex County tax administrator, M. Teresa Ruiz, NJ state senator, and Terry Swanson Tucker, president of the East Orange Board of Education. All honorees were inducted for their contributions to the county and surrounding community.

“It is both an honor and a blessing to be recognized by the ECDC. I am extremely proud of and grateful for all those involved for making the ECDC what it is today and I can’t thank them enough for their contributions to Essex County,” reflected Mr. Rivera.

The Essex County Democratic Committee, Inc. (ECDC) is a diverse and progressive organization that works to further the efforts that matter to residents in Essex County. Composed of over 1000 district leaders, ECDC fuels grassroots operations to elect Democrats at the local, county, state, and federal level. These operations include registering new voters, educating the electorate, and GOTV (Get Out the Vote) initiatives on election day. ECDC is a county party under the umbrella of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee, which itself is a chapter of the Democratic National Committee.

Ramon E. Rivera is a Partner at Scarinci Hollenbeck and chairs the firm’s labor and employment practice group.
