Intellectual Property Attorney Ron Bienstock to Speak at “Avoiding Legal Pitfalls in Indie Filmmaking” CLE During Garden State Film Festival
On Saturday, April 2, 2022, Partner and Chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property and Entertainment law practice groups, Ron Bienstock, will be a part of the CLE panel, “Avoiding Legal Pitfalls in Indie Filmmaking” during the 20th annual Garden State Film Festival. The CLE, hosted by the NJSBA, will explore the legal requirements to ensure a filmmaker does not undermine the sale of his or her film, acquiring rights, drafting contracts, work for hire agreements, permits, navigating post-production insurance issues, and more. Attendees are eligible for 2.4 CLE credits.
Ronald S. “Ron” Bienstock, attorney, and musician, is a corporate, entertainment, and intellectual property practitioner, who has over 35 years of experience representing various businesses as well as music instrument manufacturers and songwriters, producers, recording artists, and musicians.
First held in 2002, the annual Garden State Film Festival celebrates the independent film genre and offers a forum where local and other independent filmmakers can exhibit their work. The festival provides novice and aspiring filmmakers, actors, and others interested in careers in the film business, the opportunity to meet and network with industry professionals in an atmosphere conducive to learning and mentoring.
