Presented jointly by the New Jersey State League of Municipalities (NJLM), the New Jersey Institute of Local Government Attorneys (NJILGA), and the Pane family, the Michael A. Pane Award honors a municipal professional who has demonstrated the highest ethical standards in local government. Recipients are selected for their contributions to transparency, accountability, and trust in public institutions.

As Chair of Scarinci Hollenbeck’s Public Law Group, Auteri advises municipalities throughout New Jersey on complex governance, ethics, labor, and administrative matters. The Michael A. Pane Award was established to honor individuals who exemplify ethical government service. The award includes a $500 honorarium and an invitation for the recipient to publish an ethics article for the New Jersey State League of Municipalities.
